We had a great time at Murray Cottage. The house was well set up and very convenient. Julie was very helpful when we booked and during our stay. A great base for travelling around Hobart and south east Tasmania.

Great central location, only 5 minutes from the city centre or North Hobart, easily accommodates larger groups and a wonderful friendly host. Thanks for all the tourist info too, it really helps!

We loved our stay in Devonshire cottage, close to great pubs and restaurants, lovely food left for our breakfast, nice quiet street and great water views, has everything you could need.

absolutely wonderful. A bit of both worlds here, past and present. As you first approach the house you go back in time but once your in, you have all the modern conveniences of today's living. Definitely a true Tasmanian welcome. recommended highly.

Appleisle Cottages(Murray cottage), was a great home away from home. We were made to feel welcome, the minute we set foot inside. It had everything we needed and more. Was lovely to meet Julie, who said we could use things out of the garden, so thanks for the lovely roses and deliciously fresh lettuce & rocket. Just wish we had more time to just sit and relax. Oh well next time.

We really enjoyed staying here. It was a cute little cottage that gave us a lot of space for our three day stay. We appreciated the breakfast supplies in the fridge. It was conveniently located and the beds were very comfortable. Lost of information and brochures.

We three couples stayed in the Cottage for 4 days and 3 nights. We are older people and found the cottage comfortable even though the staircase was steep. It became an exercise routine. We were most happy to meet the ghost. The lady obviously belongs to the house and Ruth, who saw her, is very sensitive to the presence of spirits. We all felt the house had a peaceful feel so the "presence" was not unhappy. The nearby gourmet deli is the best we have seen and we come from Melbourne. The walks were a challenge but we were all fit so again we took them as a challenge. Congratulations on the work you have carried out on the cottage. Everything worked well and was comfortable. We will be back one day.

A delightful experience. Nothing has been overlooked in making one's stay very comfortable. A most memorable time in a cosy, homely and atmospheric cottage.

We had an excellent experience here. The house was very comfortable and well-stocked, a nice place to repair to even on rainy days. Three nights in a row we strolled over to nearby Elizabeth Street and enjoyed a different cuisine each night (Indonesian, Vietnamese and Turkish). The house is on a quiet residential street, but the business district and tourist centres are easy walking. We have only praise for the accommodation and for Hobart and for Julie.
