In fact so close you don't even need a car as it is a stroll to most Hobart attractions. Our Hobart accommodation is a perfect base from which you can explore Southern Tasmania. Just catch the "Airport Shuttle Service" or a taxi (pre-book Paul's Taxi Service 0449 516 682) from Hobart Airport and be dropped to Appleisle Cottages self contained accommodation.
Each heritage Hobart accommodation cottage takes only one booking at a time so all facilities including self catering, off street parking are exclusively yours to enjoy during your holiday, including full welcome breakfast provisions (Free range eggs, tomatoes, fruit, bread, milk, cereals, coffee, tea, etc). They are just 1 km or a 5 minute walk from the city centre & close to the North Hobart restaurant, theatre & gallery quarter. |
We have decorated the Hobart family accommodation cottages with
antiques, original artworks and the little touches that we know will
make your stay memorable & one to savour the delights of our beautiful
historic town. Murray cottage is ideal for family accommodation,
whilst a new singles room in Devonshire Cottage now means 4 bedrooms can
sleeping up to 7 adults.
Each Hobart B & B accommodation cottage is self catering, having a
fully equipped kitchen with an eat-in breakfast nook or you may enjoy
breakfast on the patio or enclosed veranda overlooking Hobart & the
Derwent River. The lounge rooms have TV, DVD, stereo, video & games
cupboard, open courtyards with outdoor furniture & gas BBQ complementing
the fully landscaped gardens.
Our
self contained accommodation cottages are equipped with everything you'd
find in apartment accommodation, only much more room to move! The
cottages have been likened by guests, to be their very own Hobart bed &
breakfast accommodation. Thus allowing guests not just a single room but
the entire historic cottage and gardens to savour on their own.

Mount Field National Park & the beautiful Russell Falls - just a relaxing 1 hour drive north east of Hobart is this spectacular Mount Field National Park. The short walks are easy, especially to Russell Falls and can be enjoyed by all, with spectacular scenery. A perfect day trip from Hobart.

Port Arthur Historic Convict Goal - an easy 90 minute drive southeast along the "convict trail" and you can discover a stunning days adventure. Please allow a good half day for the convict site, it is a significant cost to enter and many things to see, so well worth your time!

Tahune Air walk - a short drive south into the Huon Valley and within 75 minutes you arrive at this lovely setting. Experience walking in the tree tops.

Historic Richmond Village - Just a short 20 minute drive from Hobart. In the 1820s, Richmond became one of Lieutenant-Governor Arthur’s police districts; the gaol, the court house, the barracks and a watch house were erected. Today you also can enjoy this lovely village, browse the galleries, enjoy the restaurants and see the many buildings open for viewing.
